Life is boring and shit most the time. Everything so expensive. I don't need any "free" social services. I don't have money to live like Justin Trudeau. I don't have time to have many friends because I work every business day for long hours.
And I also have to pay a FUCK LOAD of taxes for a bunch of lazy fucks that are still on CERB? That want even more of my taxes for free college, free dental and even their kid's kindergarten? Holy fuck man.
Our society does not respect choice. Our society is not a democracy. We should have a choice to pay taxes. Women have a choice to kill a baby and I can't even choose to not pay taxes? My wallet my choice.

2021.10.22 00:30 butwhyamionearth [Tenant US-CA] Short on rent for the first time, what would be the best way to handle this?

Looking for some advice as I've never been in this situation before. I've lived in a small basement studio for the past year, and my lease is now month to month.
I had some unexpected setbacks over the past few weeks, and just started a new job. Because of where the pay period dates fell, I just calcuated that my paycheck is going to be about 3 days shorter than I expected. I'm worried that I will not be able to fully cover my rent for next month, without taking into account food and commuting to work until I get paid again.
I am wondering the best way I should handle this, as my building took on a management company two months ago to handle the affairs of the building. Over the past year I have never had any issues with paying rent on time and usually pay early on the 30th of each month. Because the property management company is new to me, I'm worried about making a bad impression over paying late or being served an eviction notice.
Would it be an appropriate course of action to call the property manager and explain my situation/apologize, and see if it would be possible for me to pay half of my rent now, and the other half when I get paid on the 5th of November? I would be happy to pay any late fees if needed also.
Advice would be greatly appreciated!
